Mehta Transport Corp. Of India is based out of 111-A, Bhagwan Nagar in the Ashram area of New Delhi. If you’ve ever been to Ashram, you know it’s a major junction for trucks and traffic. We’re right in the middle of that. Our office is a simple place where we manage all the trucks and drivers moving goods across the country. It’s a noisy spot with the constant sound of engines and horns, but that’s the nature of transport. We spend most of our time on the phone, tracking where the loads are and making sure the drivers are okay. It’s a lot of logbooks and dusty desks. We don't have any fancy furniture. Everything here is built for hard use. We deal with all sorts of delays, like flat tires or heavy rain on the highways. It’s not a predictable job. Some days are slow, and then suddenly five trucks arrive at once and everyone is shouting. We’ve been here in Bhagwan Nagar for years, and we know all the other transport guys around. We share tea and talk about the road conditions. It’s a tough business, honestly. There’s a lot of pressure to get things delivered on time, but we just do our best with what we have. It’s a real, boots-on-the-ground operation. No marketing talk here, just moving stuff from point A to point B every single day.
