Apni Taxi Service

Our spot for Apni Taxi Service is right across from Manglam in Mayur Vihar Phase-1. It is a good place to be because there are always people moving around the area. We have a small area where the drivers hang out between trips. Sometimes we are all out on the road and the place is empty. We started with just a couple of cars years ago. Now we have a few more, but it’s still just a local thing. We don't use those fancy apps for everything. Mostly, people call our number or just walk up because they know we are here. The traffic in Mayur Vihar can be a real headache, especially in the evenings, but we know the shortcuts by now. Our drivers are local guys who know the streets well. We don't have uniforms or anything corporate like that. We just show up and drive. The office is small, just a desk and some plastic chairs. We keep the keys on a board and try to keep track of who is where. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking the petrol levels before the next trip starts. Sometimes the cars need repairs and that takes up our whole afternoon. We just want to make sure the car starts when someone needs a ride. It’s straightforward work. No frills, just driving people where they need to go. We keep the cars as clean as we can.
