Max Mobile Communication

Zakir Nagar has a very specific feel to it, especially along Sir Syed Road. Our shop is located at 180 12 in Gali No 7. It’s a bit of a walk down the lane, but people find us anyway. The street is narrow, so you have to watch out for cycles and scooters as you come in. Max Mobile Communication is basically a one-room setup where we do everything from repairs to selling small accessories. The counter is usually covered in tools and tiny screws that I’m trying not to lose. We have a small bench out front where people can sit and wait if their repair isn't going to take too long. Usually, we have the news playing on a small TV in the corner just to keep track of what’s happening. The customers are mostly locals who live in the buildings around Gali No 7. We hear a lot of stories about what’s going on in the neighborhood while we work. It’s a community-driven place. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use our battery lamps to finish a job. It’s just part of living and working in this part of town. We don’t have a fancy website or anything, just the shop and the sign outside. When it gets late and the food stalls nearby start smelling really good, we know it’s almost time to shut down for the night.
