Our office is over on Atul Grove Road, tucked into the middle of Connaught Place. If you know New Delhi, you know how hectic it gets around here. T-18 F isn't the easiest spot to find if you are not looking closely, but we like it. It is a bit quieter than the main circles of CP. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy doors and getting the fans going. It is an older sort of setup, nothing like those glass buildings you see in the newer parts of town. We spend our time on paperwork and managing the usual business tasks. There is always a bit of dust because of the construction nearby, so we are constantly wiping down the desks. We grab lunch from the local stalls or bring it from home in tiffins. It is a small team, so we all know each other’s business. We do not have fancy coffee machines; we just get tea from the guy downstairs. The phone rings a lot, and we just deal with whatever comes up that day. It is practical work. No one wears suits unless there is a big reason to. We just focus on getting the day’s list finished so we can beat the evening rush to the metro station. It is just how things are at our little spot in the city. We have been here for years and the routine rarely changes much.
