This isn't the big hotel you might be thinking of when you hear the name. We operate out of Room No.22, 12-A Vijay Market, Madanpur, Khadar, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi. It’s a small space in a very busy market area. If you come by, you’ll see plenty of shops selling everything from vegetables to hardware right outside. Our office, Marriott, is tucked away in that market building and it can be a bit tricky to find if you don't know the layout of Vijay Market. We have a couple of computers and a landline that rings more than it should. The walls are painted a plain off-white and there are some files stacked up on the floor because we ran out of shelf space months ago. Sarita Vihar is a crowded spot, so there is always the sound of honking cars and people shouting in the street. We usually keep the door shut to block out some of the noise. It’s just a few of us here doing the back-end work and handling the paperwork that comes through. We don't have a lobby or a fancy entrance. You just walk up the stairs and look for Room No.22. It’s a practical setup for the work we do. We bring our lunch from home and eat at our desks while we catch up on emails. It's a simple, everyday routine in a busy part of Delhi. Sometimes we forget how many people pass by our door.
