Marriott Hotels Ltd. is located over at C IV, A014 in the Carlton Estate, which is part of DLF Phase V in Gurgaon. Even though the name sounds big and famous, this particular office at Carlton Estate feels a lot more like a local workplace. We spend a lot of time managing things from here, making sure everything is running okay with the rooms and the staff. Gurgaon is a fast-growing place with lots of tall buildings and traffic, but inside our office, it’s just a group of us trying to keep things organized. We handle a lot of emails and phone calls about bookings and maintenance. It’s not all glamour like you see in the movies; it’s mostly just hard work and keeping track of spreadsheets. We’ve been in the Haryana area for a while now and we’ve seen how much DLF Phase V has changed. Sometimes the elevators are slow or the air conditioning needs a fix, but we just deal with it as it comes. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just people who work in the hotel industry and happen to be based in this part of Gurgaon. You won’t find any big corporate speeches here, just people who know how to manage a stay and make sure the lights are on. It’s a busy environment but we try to keep a friendly vibe among the team.
