Marco Industries (India)

We have been here in Anand Parbat at Lane No 8 for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot, M 28 to be exact. The workshop gets pretty loud once the machines start running in the morning. Sometimes the power goes out, which is frustrating, but we just wait it out or use the generator. Most of the guys here have been working these machines for years. We do a lot of industrial work, mostly metal stuff that goes into bigger machines. The floor is always a bit oily no matter how much we sweep it. It’s just the way it is in a place like this. Marco Industries (India) isn't a fancy office with air conditioning. We have some fans, but they just push the warm air around during the summer months. You’ll find us mostly dealing with orders that come in from other factories. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. Usually, someone calls or just drops by the lane to discuss what they need made. It’s practical work. We spend our days measuring things, cutting, and making sure the dimensions are right. If something isn't right, we fix it. That’s about it. People know where to find us if they are in the area. We just keep our heads down and finish the batches as they come in. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a short break to stretch our legs and talk for a few minutes before getting back to the lathes.
