Manny Electronics

I’ve been running Manny Electronics for a good while now in Shalimar Bagh, over at Ghaffar Market, shop numbers 84-85. It’s a busy market area and we are right in the middle of it. We mostly deal with small gadgets, wires, and parts that people need for their home appliances. The shop is often a bit messy with boxes piled up, but I know exactly where everything is. My younger brother works with me, and we spend a lot of the day testing batteries or showing people how to fix their remote controls. It’s a loud place because of all the people walking by in Ghaffar Market. Sometimes we get shipments of new items and have to spend hours finding space for them on the shelves. We don’t really use a computer for the accounts; I just write everything down in a thick yellow register. It works fine for us. People from the nearby blocks come here because they know we’ve been here forever. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big sign, just the name above the door. Most days we are just drinking tea and talking to the regular customers who stop by for a spare fuse or a bulb. It's just a regular electronics shop. We close up when the market starts to empty out in the evening. There's always something to fix or a shelf to restock before we head home for the night.
