Malaysia Airlines

You can find us over at 452 Block-15 in the DDA Flats in Kalka Ji. It is a bit of an unusual spot for an airline office since it is mostly a residential area, but we have been here for a while. The flats are part of that big complex in New Delhi, and our place is just one of many in the block. To get here, you have to walk through the common courtyard where kids are often playing or people are drying clothes. It feels very much like a home that turned into a workspace. We have a few computers and several phones that never seem to stop ringing during the day. The rooms are a bit small, and we have to stack the files wherever there is space. It gets quite hot in the summer months, so the air conditioning unit is always humming in the background. We do not have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and someone is sitting there at a desk covered in papers. Most of our work involves sorting out flight details and helping people with their travel plans over the phone. It is a noisy, busy little office, but we like being in Kalka Ji. There are plenty of food stalls nearby when we need a break. It is just a regular local operation handling big travel stuff from a quiet flat.
