Our little spot for Makemytrip.Com is at 7803/10, Ram Nagar, Pahar Ganj in New Delhi -55. If you know Pahar Ganj, you know it is one of the busiest and most crowded parts of the city. There is always something happening right outside the door. We work in the middle of all that chaos. We help people figure out where they are going and how they are going to get there. It is a lot of looking at schedules and prices on a screen. The office is not very large, and it can get a bit loud with the street noise, but we are used to it by now. We do not use a lot of big words to describe what we do. People want to travel, and we help them do it without too much trouble. Sometimes the systems go down or there is a problem with a booking, and we have to spend hours on the phone fixing it. That is just part of the deal. We have a mix of people working here, some have been here for years and others are just starting out. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. New Delhi-55 is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat, but it is also very lively. We just try to stay organized and keep our records straight so everything goes smoothly for the travelers. It is a lot of typing and talking but it keeps us busy.
