Our office is over in Amar Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar 4. If you know the area, you know it’s always packed with people and there’s a lot of energy on every corner. We’re right in the middle of all that. Working for Makemytrip from this location means we are constantly busy. It’s not a quiet, sleepy office; there’s always someone talking on the phone or a keyboard clicking away. We don’t have fancy furniture or a modern art gallery in the lobby. It’s just a place where we sit and try to help people figure out their travel plans. Whether it’s a flight that needs changing or a hotel booking that’s gone a bit sideways, we spend our time fixing those little problems. The streets of Lajpat Nagar can be pretty chaotic, so the office feels like a bit of a haven once you get inside, even if it is a bit cramped with all the desks. We have a small group of staff here who have been working together for a long time. We know the local food spots well and usually spend our lunch breaks grabbing something quick from a nearby stall. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have a mission statement on the wall; we just have a list of things that need to get done today. That’s how we’ve always operated here in the colony.
