Makemytrip (I) Pvt Ltd, New Delhi

We are part of the Makemytrip team based right here in New Delhi. Our office is a place where we spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking to people about where they want to go. It’s a big operation, but in this specific office, it feels more like a regular workplace. We have rows of desks and everyone has their own little space with photos or a coffee mug. The day usually starts with a lot of emails and phone calls. People have questions about their flights or they need help with a hotel booking that didn't go right. It can be stressful when the systems are slow or when there's a lot of people calling at once during the holiday season. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. New Delhi is a central hub, so we see a lot of the travel trends firsthand. Sometimes the office is loud with everyone talking at the same time, and other times it’s quiet while we focus on the data. We aren't doing anything magical here. It is just steady work, making sure the details are entered correctly so people can enjoy their trips. We have a lunch room where we all sit together and complain about the traffic on the way in. It’s just a group of people working a job in the city, trying to keep things moving for the travelers out there.
