Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited has an office at 111 Humayunpur, right in the Safdarjung Enclave area. This part of New Delhi is always crowded with people, cars, and the occasional stray dog. Our office is in a busy spot, so there is always some kind of noise coming in from the street below. It’s a small place where we handle a lot of the holiday planning for people who want to get away for a bit. We have a few desks and some old posters on the walls of different places people might want to visit. The air in the office usually smells a bit like the street food being cooked just outside. We spend our day answering phones and typing on our computers, trying to figure out dates and locations for different travelers. It gets pretty hectic during the summer months when everyone is looking to take a break. The building is a bit old, and the stairs are quite narrow, so moving anything in or out is always a bit of a struggle for us. We don’t have any big flashy lights or a grand entrance to show off. It is just a functional workspace for the staff to do their jobs. We usually eat our lunch at our desks while we talk about the news or the weather. Sometimes the water cooler breaks or the lights flicker when it's raining, but we just keep going. It’s not a fancy resort, just where the work happens.
