Madan Trading Co

We’ve been tucked away here on Hari Singh Nalwa Street for a good while now. It’s number 1500/25 if you’re looking at the shop fronts. Karol Bagh is always a bit of a mess with the traffic and the people walking everywhere, but we like it. Madan Trading Co isn’t a huge office or anything, just a practical place where we get our work done every day. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot, and stay until the market starts to quiet down. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking through inventory. It’s a trading business, so there’s always something coming in or going out. The street outside is narrow and loud. You hear the rickshaw drivers shouting and the smell of street food from the corner. We keep a fan going inside to stay cool. It’s not a fancy setup, just some sturdy tables and a lot of ledgers and boxes. Sometimes people drop in just to ask for directions because this street can be confusing. We don’t mind. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but 1500/25 stays pretty much the same. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. No big speeches or anything like that. We just open up, do the trading, and make sure everything is handled right before we lock up at night. The walls could use a bit of paint, and the floor is a bit uneven, but it works for us and our visitors. We just take each day as it comes.
