We are tucked away in the Janta Flats at number 1720 in Delhi. It might seem like a strange place for a publishing office, but it works for us. We spend our time surrounded by stacks of manuscripts and proofs. There are books everywhere you look in this office. Being in the 110093 area means we are part of a regular neighborhood, which keeps things grounded. We aren't in a high-rise building with elevators and security guards. It’s just a flat where we do the work of getting books ready for print. We talk to authors and editors all day long. Some days are very quiet when everyone is reading, and other days are loud when the printers are calling about deadlines. We've been at this for quite a while now. The space is a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. It’s not about having a polished look; it’s about the quality of the pages we are putting together. We just try to make sure the grammar is right and the layout looks decent. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at screens or paper. We don't have any fancy mission statements posted on the walls. We just come in, do the editing, and try to get the books out on time. It is a practical way to run a publishing business in the city.
