Madanpur Khadar Main Market is always a hive of activity, and that’s where you’ll find us at 1/4A. The noise from the street is something you just get used to after a few days. Between the honking cars and the street vendors shouting, it’s never quiet. Our shop is a small space where we handle all sorts of communication tasks. We’ve got a couple of glass cabinets that hold the most common items people ask for. Most of the time, I’m sitting behind the main desk, either working on a device or looking over some paperwork. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need to see the small parts we’re dealing with. We get a lot of people coming in for recharges or to fix a broken screen. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbors by name. The guy at the sweets shop next door often brings over some snacks in the afternoon. We try to keep the shop clean, but the dust from the main market is a constant battle. The back area is where we store the bigger boxes and the spare equipment. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. By evening, the market gets even more crowded with people buying vegetables and supplies. We usually stay open a bit later than some of the other shops just to help the late workers.
