Over here at D-55/C, things move pretty fast, or at least we try to make them move fast. Being part of Lufthansa Cargo means there is always something arriving or leaving. It’s not a glamorous office, honestly. It’s mostly boxes, paperwork, and people checking their watches. I’ve been working here for a bit, and you get used to the rhythm of the shipments. Some days everything goes smooth, and other days the systems act up or a truck gets stuck in traffic. That’s just life in this business. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or making the place look like a showroom. It’s a workspace, plain and simple. The chairs are a little squeaky and the coffee is usually too strong, but it keeps us awake. We handle a lot of different items, and every day feels like a puzzle trying to fit everything where it belongs. It’s loud sometimes, and there is always someone shouting about a delivery date. We just do our bit and go home. People think it’s all airplanes and flying, but for us, it’s mostly just making sure the numbers on the paper match the numbers on the crates. It’s honest work, and we’ve been at this spot for a long time now. We just focus on the task at hand and try not to get too stressed when things get hectic.
