Looking For Job

This is basically just us over at B-76 Ramprastha Colony, Flat No. 4. We are in a quiet enough spot. The name Looking For Job is pretty literal because that is what we are all about. We spend our days trying to help people figure out where they can find work. It is not a big agency or anything like that. It is just a few of us in a flat, surrounded by piles of resumes and notes. We started doing this because we saw how hard it was for folks in the neighborhood to find decent leads. So, we decided to use our space to gather information. People come by sometimes, or they call us up. It is a bit messy inside with all the files, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist or fancy furniture. Just some desks and a lot of tea. We try to keep track of who is hiring and who needs what. It is a lot of back and forth. Some days are slow, and other days the phone won't stop. We just take it as it comes. Being in Ramprastha Colony makes it easy for locals to find us. We aren't trying to be some giant recruitment firm. We just want to help people get a foot in the door somewhere. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till late evening. We keep a kettle going for when people drop in. It is helpful to sit down and just talk about what kind of work they are looking for. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there with our flashlights, still talking. It is a simple way of helping out.
