We are set up at House Number 244/3 on Jail Road in Mandi. It’s a bit of a distance from the bigger cities like Delhi, but we like it here in Himachal Pradesh. We wear heavy sweaters most of the year because it gets chilly inside. Sometimes the internet is slow when the weather turns bad, so we just pick up the phone instead. We know the local drivers and the guest house owners around the area. It’s a small town where everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We’ve been doing this for several years now. It started as a small project and just kept going on its own. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign out front. Just a wooden board by the gate on Jail Road. We enjoy talking to the people who come by to ask for directions. It’s practical work that helps us stay connected to the region. If you’re ever in Mandi, you’ll probably pass by us on your way through town. It is a quiet but steady life for us here.
