Le Meridien , New Delhi

This is for Le Meridien in New Delhi but we are specifically working out of Room No 118. This is inside the Indira Niketan Working Women Hostel in Laxmi Bai Nagar. It is a bit of a strange place to have a hotel office but that is where we are. We handle various support tasks for the main hotel from this small room. It is not like the big lobby or the fancy rooms you see at the actual hotel. We have just enough space for our desks and a few chairs. Being in a hostel means there are always people moving around in the hallways and it has a very different feel from a corporate office. Laxmi Bai Nagar is a central area so it is easy to get to but our little corner in Room 118 is very quiet. We spend our time going through emails and making sure the guest needs are being handled properly. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers and we have to remind the hostel manager to fix it. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment just the basics to get the job done. It is a practical way for us to work without being in the middle of the busy hotel floors. We just do our part for the team and keep things moving along as best as we can from this small space. It is simple and it works for what we need to do.
