Lateral Praxis

Our office is situated at D-277 in Vivek Vihar, over in Delhi. It is a regular residential building that we have converted into a workspace. Being in a neighborhood like this means it stays relatively quiet, except for the occasional street vendor or the sound of cars passing by. We handle a lot of technical tasks here, mostly involving data and software stuff. It is not a high-tech looking place with neon lights or anything. We have some sturdy wooden desks, a few old chairs, and a lot of tangled cables behind the computers. The team is small, and we usually just shout across the room if we need something rather than sending formal emails to each other. We have got a small kitchen area where we make tea, and that is usually where most of the planning happens. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy with the projects to really worry about that right now. Vivek Vihar is a nice change from the chaos of central Delhi, and we like the pace here. Most of us take the bus or ride our scooters to work. We do not have a big sign outside, just a small plate with the name on it. It is an honest place where we put in the hours and try to keep things running smoothly for everyone involved. We just focus on the work at hand and get things done day by day.
