Lancer Express

We've been working out of United Apartments here in Dwarka Sector 4 for a while now. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of how much mail and stuff comes through this part of New Delhi. Being in Plot No 34 means we see a lot of the same neighbors every day. It isn't a huge fancy corporate setup. We just have our desks, the scales for weighing boxes, and a lot of packing tape. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud in the summer, but we get the work done. People come in to drop off packages or ask about where their stuff is. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers who are stuck in traffic on the way to the airport or other parts of the city. Dwarka is spread out, so we know the shortcuts by now. It’s mostly about making sure the labels are right and the boxes don’t fall apart before they reach the truck. We don't have a big reception area, just some chairs for when it gets crowded in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is around here. It's a plain office where we keep track of things going from point A to point B. We know most of the couriers by their first names. It’s a steady job and we like the neighborhood.
