Kuki Bar Lounge

Kuki Bar Lounge is up on the first floor at F-101 in Lajpat Nagar Part 2. This part of New Delhi is always moving, so we are right in the middle of all that energy. It’s not a huge place, but it has a certain character. The walls have some marks here and there, and the furniture is a bit worn from use. We spend a lot of time getting things ready before the doors open. It’s a lot of cleaning and moving chairs around. The kitchen area is small but we make it work. Since we are on the first floor, you have to walk up the stairs. The stairs have these old tiles that are a bit chipped at the edges, so watch your step. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, just enough for people to know they’re in the right place. Working here means dealing with a lot of different people every day. It gets loud sometimes, especially on the weekends when everyone is out. We have a few regulars who come in just to chat. The lighting is a bit dim, which helps hide some of the older parts of the building. We don't try to be something we aren't. It’s just a local spot where people can hang out. We keep the fridge stocked and the music playing. It feels like a second home to those of us who work here every day.
