Krishna Cellular Communication is tucked away in Kalkaji, a neighborhood that always feels a bit like a maze if you aren’t from around here. We’ve got this small shop where we handle all things related to mobile phones. It’s nothing like those big showrooms you see in the malls. We have a counter, some stools, and shelves filled with boxes of different shapes and sizes. Most of our day is spent helping people who live just a few streets away. They come in because their battery isn't charging or they need a new screen protector because they dropped their phone on the pavement. I’ve spent a lot of time sitting here, watching the world go by through the front door. Kalkaji is a busy place, especially near the main markets, and we get our fair share of the foot traffic. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, but it works fine for us. We don’t put on any acts; we just talk to people like neighbors. Sometimes a customer will stay for twenty minutes just to tell me about their day while I'm trying to figure out a software glitch on their handset. It’s that kind of place. We open up early, get the floor swept, and stay until the lights in the street start flickering on. It’s just a regular local shop in Kalkaji for everyone who lives nearby.
