K.K.Birla Foundation

We are based at B-1/2 on Pusa Road in Karol Bagh, New Delhi. This is a pretty central spot, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. The K.K.Birla Foundation has been here for quite some time. It’s an older building that has a lot of character, even if it feels a bit cramped sometimes. We aren't a big, flashy corporation. Most of our day is spent dealing with papers, books, and various cultural or educational things. It’s quiet inside compared to the noise of Karol Bagh. We have shelves full of files and old documents that we look after. There are only a few of us working here on any given day. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets, just the basics to keep things running. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on the work we have to do. People sometimes come in to ask about what we do, and we just tell them we’re a foundation doing our part. It feels like a very traditional place to work. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in the news. It’s a steady, calm environment in the middle of a very busy city. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, without making much noise about it. That’s just the way it is here at our office on Pusa Road.
