Kingfisher Airlines

I’m Amit Soni and I run things from here in V P O Lower Sunhet, down in Tehsil Dehra. The office is basically just part of my father R R Soni’s house, which everyone in the village knows. It’s quiet up here in Kangra. Even though the name is Kingfisher Airlines, we aren't at an airport. It’s more about handling the paperwork and helping people with their travel stuff from this side of Himachal Pradesh. The pin code is 177101 if you’re looking for the mail. Living in the hills means things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out when it rains hard, so we just wait it out. I’ve lived in this district my whole life and decided to set this up to stay close to home. My family has been here for generations. People from the nearby villages often stop by just to ask questions or get some help with their plans. It’s not a big corporate building with glass walls. It is just a desk, a couple of chairs, and some ledgers in a room at the house. We don’t have a big staff, mostly just me and sometimes a neighbor who helps out when it gets busy. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need to do here in the valley. We keep it honest and just do the work day by day.
