Khusdil Roadways

Our place, Khusdil Roadways, is tucked away in Kazi Bazar, right near Shree Press. If you know Cuttack, you know how these streets get. It’s always crowded with people moving goods, and there is a constant noise of rickshaws and horns. We’ve been operating out of this spot in Orissa for quite some time. The office is small and filled with ledgers and old clipboards. We don’t have fancy software for everything; a lot of it is still written down because that’s how we’ve always managed things. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but nobody really has the time to stop and do it. We are usually too busy worrying about where the trucks are or if the rain is going to slow down the deliveries. Most mornings start with a lot of shouting and tea drinking before the sun gets too high. Being near Kazi Bazar means there’s always something interesting happening right outside our door. Sometimes a truck gets stuck in the narrow lane, and everyone has to go out and help guide the driver. It’s just how life goes here. We don’t try to act like we are some big international company. We are just a group of people in Cuttack trying to keep the wheels moving and making sure things get where they need to go without too much trouble.
