Our office is tucked away in Gali Sui Wali at Mori Gate in Delhi. It is a narrow street and can get quite crowded with people and carts moving around outside. Khan Infrastructurepvt.Ltd is where we handle the paperwork for different building projects. There are blueprints rolled up in the corners and a lot of files on the shelves. Most of us have been working in this area for a long time. The building we are in is old, and you can hear the street noise all day long. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and checking on how much cement or steel is needed for a job. It’s practical work. We aren't doing anything fancy here. It’s mostly about making sure the numbers add up and the trucks get to where they are supposed to go. Sometimes we have to go out to the sites to see how things are looking, but a lot of the work happens right here at the desks in Mori Gate. It gets dusty, and the tea gets cold if you leave it too long while talking on the phone. We just keep at it every day, making sure the business stays on track and the projects keep moving forward slowly. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking receipts to make sure we didn't miss anything important. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving while we work.
