Kcic

Our office for Kcic is located at 1020/09 in Govindpuri, right in the heart of the Kalkaji area. It’s a very crowded part of town, and finding our door can be a bit of a challenge if you’re not familiar with the narrow lanes. The building is old, and the stairs are steep, leading up to a small room where we do all our work. We have a couple of desks that are squeezed in next to each other, and there is always a stack of books or files taking up the extra space. It’s not the quietest place to work because you can always hear the sound of the market and the people walking by just outside the window. We spend our days mostly on the phones or typing away at the computers. The walls are a pale blue and have some scuff marks from where we’ve moved the furniture around over the years. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high, but it keeps the air moving. Lunch is usually something we grab from one of the stalls downstairs, and we eat it right at our desks while we talk about the week's tasks. It is a very simple, no-frills kind of environment. We don't have a fancy entrance or a lobby, just a door that stays open most of the time. It’s just us doing what we need to do in a busy corner of Delhi.
