Katha

Katha is based out of Lawrence Road in New Delhi, at B-4/ 206 C. Our workspace is usually filled with books, papers, and boxes that seem to pile up no matter how much we try to organize them. We spend our days working on stories and making sure everything is ready for whatever project we are currently handling. It is a bit of an old building, and the stairs can be a bit steep when you’re carrying a heavy load of books, but we’re used to it by now. The neighborhood around Lawrence Road is pretty industrial, so there’s always the sound of trucks and machinery in the background while we work. We aren't a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us who really care about what we’re putting together. Sometimes we get into long discussions about a single page or a piece of art, and other times we just sit in silence and get the typing done. We don't have a fancy break room, so we usually just gather around one of the larger tables when it’s time for tea. The lighting in the back corner isn't the best, so we mostly huddle near the windows during the day. It’s a bit messy and sometimes things get misplaced, but we always manage to find what we need eventually. We just like what we do here and try to keep things moving along at a steady pace every day.
