Karan Telecom

At Karan Telecom, we are located in Kailash Plaza, which is right in the middle of Sant Nagar at house number 252. This place is always moving. You can hear the noise from the street all day long. My shop is filled with all sorts of mobile accessories, from colorful covers to those earphones that everyone seems to lose. I spend my day behind the glass display, mostly talking to people who have dropped their phones in water or cracked their displays. Sant Nagar is a busy place and there are many shops, so I just try to keep my head down and do my work. The shelves are a bit messy because I’m always pulling things out to show customers. I don't have a big staff, it’s usually just me or my cousin helping out. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on for the news, but the volume is always low. Sometimes the couriers bring in new stock and the whole floor gets covered in bubble wrap and cardboard. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the different models of phones that come out every month. I don't really use a computer for everything; I still write a lot of things down in a big ledger book. It feels more real that way. People come here because they know we are just around the corner.
