You can find Kamat Hotels (India) Limited at Sheetal Chhaya 103 in Vikas Nagar. We are right on Cemetry Road near Dahanukar Wadi. The building is just a regular residential-looking place but we have our office setup inside. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time which helps when we have to focus on all the hotel management tasks. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes work here. There are stacks of ledgers and computer monitors everywhere you look. It’s not a huge space so we all know each other’s business. We have a small kitchen area where we keep the kettle going for tea and coffee. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat or ask about something. The street outside gets a bit crowded during the morning rush but settles down later on. We don't really do the fancy stuff here; we just make sure the rooms and the staff at the hotels are sorted out. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. We’ve been in this spot for some time and it feels like home now. The walls are a bit plain and the furniture has seen better days but it works for what we need. We just show up every morning and get through the list of things to do. It is a steady way to spend the day. We are just a group of people making sure things run right from our Vikas Nagar office.
