K T Overseas

K T Overseas is located right on the ground floor of GTB Market in Chhota Bazar. We are at Shop No 44, which isn't hard to find once you get into the Kashmere Gate area. This part of the city is always crowded, and the traffic around the market can be a real headache, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels normal. The shop itself is small, packed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. We mostly handle things that come in from elsewhere and go out to local buyers who need specific parts or items. It’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the counts are right. We open up pretty early because the market starts moving as soon as the sun is up. Some days are just filled with phone calls and people asking for prices, while other days we’re mostly just moving stock around to make space for new arrivals. The lights in the market are a bit dim sometimes, and it gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fan going. We don’t have any big sales pitches or anything like that. People know what they want when they come to Kashmere Gate, and we just try to have it ready for them. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day. Usually, we close up when the rest of the market starts shutting their shutters, heading home after another long stretch of work. We aren't doing anything special, just running a shop in a very busy corner of Delhi.
