Jetairways

Our office is at F-35 in Gautam Nagar, New Delhi. It’s a busy part of the city with lots of narrow lanes and small shops. This Jetairways location is mostly for back-end stuff and ticketing. We spend a lot of time on our computers and talking to the airport staff. The building itself is an older one. We’ve got some desks pushed together and wires running along the floor. It’s not a polished corporate office you’d see in a magazine. We have a lot of posters from old flight routes on the walls. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the AC is a bit temperamental, but we manage with some fans. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we eat at our desks together. There’s a lot of noise from the street—horns honking and people shouting—but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a coffee machine. If you need a drink, there’s a water cooler in the corner. We focus on getting the flights booked and the schedules checked. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s important. We’ve been here through the good times and the bad. It’s just a regular workplace for people who care about getting things done right. No one here is trying to be someone they are not.
