Our office is at 1499 in Ranjeet Gali, which is located in the Sangatrashan area of Paharganj. If you know New Delhi-110055, you know that Paharganj is a very busy and crowded place. Ranjeet Gali is one of those narrow streets where it is hard to move if a rickshaw is coming through. Our building is old and has a lot of character, even if the walls are a bit stained. We have been here for a long time, and we know all the other shopkeepers on the street. Inside, it is a bit dark because the buildings are so close together, so we keep the lights on even during the day. We have maps of different places on the walls and stacks of travel brochures that people like to flip through. It is a busy spot because tourists are always walking by, popping their heads in to ask for directions or prices. We spend a lot of time writing things down in big registers and talking on the phone. The ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we have all stopped noticing. It is not a fancy place, just a real office in the heart of a very hectic part of the city. We take our breaks on the doorstep sometimes just to watch the people go by. It is a noisy, lively place to work every day, and we are just used to the chaos.
