At Jet Airways, we work out of K-130 in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. Most people think of furniture shops when they hear Kirti Nagar, but we are here doing something else. K-130 is just a normal building on the street. It is not like a big airport terminal or a fancy corporate tower. It is just a place where we sit and handle our daily business. New Delhi is always a noisy city and Kirti Nagar is no different. There are always trucks moving wood and furniture around our street. We can hear the sounds of work going on outside all day long. Inside our office at K-130, it is a little bit quieter but the city sounds still get in. We have our computers and the phones are usually ringing. The office feels a bit old-fashioned. We have some posters on the wall that have been there for years. The floor is made of tiles and it is easy enough to keep clean. We usually get our tea from a small shop on the corner. The guy there knows exactly how we like it. 110015 is the general area but we just say Kirti Nagar. It is a simple way of living. We do not wear fancy uniforms here. We just do what needs doing and go home. It is a basic setup in a very busy part of town. We just keep our heads down.
