Our office is over in West Patel Nagar, at H-16 on the second floor. It’s a typical Delhi setup where you have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to get to us. The area is always buzzing with activity, and there’s a lot of shops nearby selling everything from electronics to snacks. Inside, we have a bunch of desks and some old cabinets where we keep all the records. It gets a bit hot in the summer despite the fans, but we just keep going. We mostly deal with schedules and passenger details all day long. There’s a lot of back and forth between us, usually shouted across the room because we don’t like using the internal phones much. We’ve been in this building for quite a while, so we know all the quirks, like which light switch doesn't work and how to jiggle the door handle just right. Our lunch breaks are usually spent at the little food stalls downstairs. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any fancy posters or mission statements on the walls. Mostly it’s just maps and calendars. The 110008 area is crowded, but it’s convenient for the metro. We just show up, do our shifts, and head home. It’s not a shiny corporate headquarters, just a practical place where the real work of keeping things moving happens every single day without much fuss.
