Jaypee Hotels Limited has an office at Silver Oaks Apartments in DLF Phase I, Gurgaon. It is located at 120/155, which is a bit different than being in a standard commercial office park. Working out of an apartment complex gives the whole operation a different feel. It’s a bit more relaxed than the high-rise buildings you see in other parts of Gurgaon. We handle a lot of the administrative and back-end work for the hotels from this spot. The rooms are filled with filing cabinets and computers instead of beds and sofas. DLF Phase I is a pretty established area, so there are plenty of trees around, which makes the walk from the parking lot a bit more pleasant. We have a small team here that stays busy with phone calls and emails all day long. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it's just a delivery for one of the neighbors, which is just part of being in an apartment building. We don't have a big lobby or a sign out front, so people usually have to call us to find the exact door. It’s a functional space where we focus on getting the work done without the distractions of a big corporate headquarters. We have our routines, like grabbing tea from the local stall nearby, and we just keep things running as smoothly as we can from our little corner of Silver Oaks.
