Jain Diesel

This place is down at Mori Gate on Nicholson Road. Our shop is number 3507/3. It’s an old area and things can get pretty dusty with all the engine parts around. We’ve been handling diesel-related stuff for a long time. Mostly it's pumps, nozzles, and various bits for engines. The shelves are packed with boxes from the floor to the ceiling. It might look a bit messy to someone from outside, but we know where everything is. Mechanics come here a lot. They know what they need and we just pull it off the shelf for them. We don't do much talking unless it's about a specific part number. It’s a straightforward business. Sometimes the road gets blocked with trucks unloading, so it can be a bit of a walk to the door. We usually have tea in the afternoon while we wait for orders. My brother and I run the place most days. It’s a small space, but it serves the purpose. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We've seen the market change over the years, but diesel engines are still around. If someone brings in a part that’s worn out, we see if we have the replacement in the back. Sometimes it takes a bit of digging to find the right one. It’s just how it goes here. We close up when the sun goes down. It's a busy life but we're used to the noise.
