Jai Prakash Associates Ltd. (Jaypee Group)

Paschim Vihar is quite a busy place in New Delhi, and our office at Bg-5/7B is right in the middle of all that activity. We’ve been here for a while, dealing with all the stuff that comes with being part of the Jaypee Group. It’s mostly about managing the big construction projects from this small corner. There are always piles of files on the desks and people coming in to discuss cement reports, power plant files, or maps for the expressways. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just try to get the work done. The staff here knows the local tea stall guy by name because he’s here every hour. We don’t have fancy paintings on the walls, just maps and project schedules. Sometimes the printer jams when we have a big deadline, and someone has to run out to get more toner. It’s just how it goes in a real office. People think because it's a big name like Jai Prakash Associates Ltd. it must be all glass buildings, but here in Paschim Vihar, it feels more like a regular neighborhood workplace. We spend our mornings checking emails and the afternoons in long meetings about site logistics. By the time we leave, the sun is usually setting over the Delhi skyline, and we do it all over again the next day. It's hard work, but it's what we do. It isn't always perfect, but we keep things moving as best as we can.
