If you’ve ever been to Kashmere Gate, you know how hectic it gets with all the spare parts shops everywhere. Jai Mata Motors is at Shop No 30 in the PS Jain Motor Market. We handle motor parts and bits for various types of vehicles. The shop is small, and there’s always a bit of grease on the floor no matter how much we try to clean it up. We spend most of our time looking through old catalogs or climbing up the metal ladders to find that one specific part someone is asking for. It’s a lot of manual work every day. The market stays crowded from the morning till late evening. We’ve been in this exact spot for a long time now. Our neighbors are mostly doing the same thing, selling parts and chatting about the latest car models. Sometimes we run out of stock and have to call around the other shops in the market to find what the customer needs. It’s a tight-knit community of shopkeepers here. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that makes a lot of noise. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, but the work doesn't stop for that. People come from all over the city because they know the motor market is the place to go for repairs. We keep things straightforward. You tell us what part you need, and we see if we have it. That’s how we’ve always done it here, and it seems to work out for everyone involved.
