Jagran Prakashan Ltd

Jagran Prakashan Ltd has a presence here at 256, Kaveri Hostel in JNU, New Delhi-110067. It’s a bit different because we are operating out of a hostel room on the university campus. It’s not a big printing press or a corporate office with a receptionist. Mostly, we are involved in gathering news or handling distribution points for the students and staff around here. The room is small, filled with stacks of papers and some old books. Being inside JNU means we are surrounded by students talking about politics and exams all day. It’s a unique place to work from. Sometimes it gets loud in the hallways, especially during meal times at the hostel. We don’t have much space, so things are piled up on the bed or the single desk we have. It’s a simple setup for someone who needs to be on the ground in the university. We spend a lot of time walking around the campus or sitting in the canteens to see what is going on. It’s not a nine-to-five kind of job. We are just here, part of the daily life at Kaveri Hostel, making sure the publishing work gets done. It’s a bit cramped, and the lighting isn’t great, but it serves the purpose for now. We might move to a bigger spot one day, but for now, this room in New Delhi is where we stay busy with the newspapers.
