Delhi Steel Craft

Our shop is located at F-12 Parwana Road in Jagat Puri. It is a place where we work with steel every single day. The air is often filled with the smell of metal and the sound of cutting machines. We don't have a fancy office or a big reception area. Instead, we have workbenches, piles of steel rods, and tools scattered around. It gets quite hot in the summer because of the machines and the metal, but we just keep going. People from the neighborhood come to us when they need something made or fixed. We spend a lot of time measuring things and then welding them together. It is a dusty job and our clothes usually end up covered in gray marks by the end of the shift. Jagat Puri is a crowded area, so there is always noise from the street coming into the workshop. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. We don't spend money on advertising or making things look pretty. If the steel is cut right and the joints are strong, that is enough for us. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought it would because the metal is being difficult. We just take it one day at a time and try to finish what we started. It’s a simple life here on Parwana Road, mostly focused on getting the metal work done without any fuss.
