I.T.D.C.(The Ashok)

We are based at 139, Janta Flats in G.T.B. Enclave, which is in the Delhi-93 area. It is a bit of a distance from the main central parts of the city, but it is a solid neighborhood. The Janta Flats are very modest, and our office is right there among the homes. It is not what you might expect for a name like The Ashok, which people usually associate with big luxury hotels. This is a much more practical, down-to-earth side of the organization. We handle some of the administrative and ground-level work here. The office is pretty basic, with a few old wooden desks and some steel almirahs for all the files. It is often quite busy with people coming in to drop off papers or check on things. We do not have any fancy decorations, just a few calendars on the walls. The area outside is always lively, with people going about their daily business and local vendors selling vegetables. It can get a bit noisy with the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows, but it keeps us connected to the real world. We just do our bit every day, making sure the records are updated and the work gets finished. It is an honest sort of place to work. No one puts on airs here. We just drink our tea, talk about the weather, and keep the operations moving along as best as we can.
