Issuing Authority

We are based at M-1 in Malviya Nagar, which is a pretty well-known part of New Delhi. Our office is where the daily grind of being an issuing authority happens. There is always a lot of paper moving across the desks here. We spend our mornings sorting through applications and our afternoons making sure everything is stamped and filed where it belongs. The office isn't very large, so we have to stay organized or we’d lose track of everything in a day. Malviya Nagar is always crowded, so just getting to the door can be an adventure sometimes with all the cars and shoppers. Inside, we keep things pretty quiet so we can concentrate. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls. Instead, we have shelves full of folders and a clock that we all watch when it gets close to five. We’ve worked here for years, so we know the local rhythms and the people who frequent this block. It’s a very matter-of-fact environment. If something needs to be issued, we check the details and we get it done. We don't try to make it sound more important than it is; it’s just the job we have. We’re glad to be in this neighborhood because there’s always somewhere to get a good cup of coffee nearby when the afternoon slump hits. It’s a simple, hardworking office in a busy part of the city.
