Our spot is at K.K.K. Niwas in VPO Rajokri, New Delhi. The 110038 area is where we handle the daily tasks for the railway side of things. It's not the main station, but a lot of the behind-the-scenes work happens right here in this building. Rajokri is a bit on the edge of the city, so it’s not as crazy as central Delhi, but it’s still busy enough. We deal with the logistics and the bookings that keep things running. The office is pretty basic. We have chairs, desks, and a lot of power strips for all the hardware we need. Working with the railways means there is never a slow day. There’s always a queue of something to be done. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls. It’s a place for work, not for show. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power goes out, and we just wait it out and get back to it. The staff here are locals who know the area well. We’ve seen the seasons change from this window for years. It’s a steady job and we take it one day at a time. We don't make big promises; we just try to keep the system moving as best as we can from our little corner in Rajokri. It’s a lot of data entry and checking lists, but it’s what keeps the trains moving for everyone else. We stay focused on the tasks and go home when the shift is done.
