We are located at A276 in Nehru Vihar, which is quite close to Timarpur here in Delhi. It’s a busy spot, and the building is usually full of people moving around. Being the International Insitute Of Fashion Tec, you might expect it to look like a magazine, but it’s actually a bit messy. There are scraps of fabric on the floor and patterns pinned to just about every wall. The sewing machines make a constant humming sound that you eventually stop noticing. We’ve been in this 110054 area for a while, and it’s got a specific vibe. Students are always coming in with big bags and sketches. The desks are covered in markers, rulers, and half-finished projects. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is working on something at the same time. We don't have a lot of space for a fancy lounge or anything. People usually just grab a chai from the stall outside and talk on the steps. The light in the afternoon is actually quite good for seeing the colors of the thread, which is nice. It’s a hardworking environment where nobody is too worried about things being perfectly tidy. We just focus on the needles and the cloth. It’s a practical place for learning how to make things. A276 Nehru Vihar isn't a showroom, it’s more like a big, busy workshop where people just get their hands dirty and learn the trade.
