Interglobe Aviation Ltd, Indigo Airlines

Our office is actually inside A- 40 Vandana Appt in Sec -13 Rohini, New Delhi. It is a bit unusual for a company like Interglobe Aviation Ltd to be in an apartment building, but it works for our needs here. Because it is a residential complex, the atmosphere is quite different from a downtown office. We see people taking their kids to school or coming back with groceries while we are heading in to work on Indigo Airlines business. The space inside is basically a flat that we have turned into a workspace. It has got a small kitchen where we make our own coffee and a living area where we have put most of the computers. It is not a place where you will find fancy lobby furniture or a polished glass entrance. We deal with a lot of coordination and paperwork, so the desks are usually covered in folders and printouts. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks in the afternoon, but we just keep working through it. It is a quiet part of New Delhi, and being in Rohini means most of us do not have to travel too far to get here. We do not have any big slogans on the walls or a team of people in suits. We just wear what is comfortable and focus on the tasks we have for the day. It is a simple, honest way to run things, and it feels more personal than a big office.
