Our office is tucked away in Munirka Village at 353A. If you know this part of New Delhi, you know how the lanes can be. It is easy to get lost if you aren't paying attention to the house numbers. We have been in this spot for several years now and we've seen the village change around us. The building is a bit older, and the stairs are narrow. Inside, it is just a simple workspace. We have three desks and a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. Most of the work we do involves travel arrangements for people. It is not very glamorous. We spend most of our time on the phone or responding to emails. The windows look out onto the street, so we hear everything that goes on outside, from the vegetable sellers to the kids playing. It gets pretty loud in the afternoons. We aren't a big operation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us here every day. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception desk. People usually just walk right in and sit down. Sometimes we run out of stationary and someone has to run down to the local market to get more. That is just how we run things here. It is a quiet, local business and we like it that way. We just focus on getting the work done without much fuss for our customers.
