We set up shop at J-50 in Laxmi Nagar quite some time ago. This area is always buzzing with students and people looking for work. Our office for Infopro Technologies is right in the thick of it. It’s a fairly basic space with white walls that are starting to look a bit grey. We have a few rows of computers and some old chairs that squeak when you sit down. The lighting is those long tube lights that flicker every now and then. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes to the door, whoever is closest just gets up to see what they need. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We wear what we want and usually have some music playing quietly. The street outside is narrow and can get blocked by rickshaws easily. We spend most of our time staring at screens and typing away. When we need a break, we go out for a smoke or a tea at the stand around the corner. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We like the energy of Laxmi Nagar. It feels like things are always happening here, even if it’s just a lot of people rushing around. Sometimes we stay late to finish up projects, and the neighborhood is still just as busy at night as it was in the morning.
